Every roof gets inspected before we touch it with water. Tile, terracotta and Colorbond all pick up dirt and growth differently, and they all react differently to pressure. We decide on soft wash or pressure wash based on what’s actually on your roof, not a default setting we run on every job.

High pressure is the fastest way to crack a tile, strip a coating, or force water under flashing that was never meant to get wet. We’d rather take the slower, correct approach than leave you with a bigger problem than the one you called about.

Concrete and terracotta tiles are porous, which is exactly why moss and lichen take hold so easily. We use a soft wash, low pressure paired with a cleaning treatment, to lift the growth without cracking the surface.

Colorbond & metal

Metal roofing doesn't grow lichen the way tiles do, but it collects dirt, salt residue and algae staining, especially near the coast. We clean it without scratching the factory coating or affecting the warranty.

Terracotta

Older terracotta is brittle and the glaze can be damaged by high pressure. We use a slower, lower-pressure process here, since a cracked tile isn't always easy to match and replace.
